Form of the Herbs

Aiki Healing custom formulations are most commonly dispensed in bulk form of dried herbs that are decocted into tea form.

Herbs may also be given in tablet or tincture forms (decocted with alcohol or glycerin) or in fluid extract forms. Last, herbs may be used in essential oil form as part of aromatherapy. Aiki Healing produces a line of proprietary aromatherapy products available in online store.

Herb Capsules or Extract Form?

In the Journal of Medical Association. Thai (2006 Sep;89 Suppl 3:S200-5) researchers found that powdered cinnamon did not significantly lower glucose levels in diabetics.

Yet, in the Journal of Pharmacology (volume 104, issues 1-2, March 8, 2006, pgs. 119-123), researchers found that cinnamon extract lowered blood sugar levels significantly.

Although not researched fully by scientists, Chinese herbalists have often noted that decoction and fluid extracts of the herbs are often more effective than simply grinding herbs into powders and consuming them.
