Why the Equinox on Monday Offers Your Best Opportunity to Shift from Overwhelm to Peace

The autumnal equinox arrives this Monday, September 22, 2025, at 2:19 p.m. EDT. As those of us in the northern hemisphere welcome autumn's metal element, our friends in the southern hemisphere embrace spring's wood element.

The Ancient Wisdom of Elemental Balance

In Classical Chinese Medicine, the metal element naturally balances the excessiveness of the wood element, so fall naturally balances spring.

In humans, this manifests as the opportunity for the metal element, representing integrity and alignment to God, to balance our overly busy nervous systems (wood element).

During world turmoil, consciously accessing the balancing quality of the arrival of both spring and fall  on the planet helps us to return to inner peace despite the external chaotic circumstances.

To think that God naturally and lovingly created this kind of balancing frequency with the changing of the seasons reminds us of the glory and magnificence of God's care of us.

3 Simple Practices to Align with Natural Balance

1. Set Sacred Intentions for Release

Take time this week to consciously identify habits and patterns that no longer serve your physical health, inner peace, or divine connection. The metal energy of fall supports us in releasing what weighs us down.

Complacency is one of those energy frequencies that can undermine our body, mind and soul wellness.

We're all human—even I fall into patterns that may not serve myself best.

Recently, I realized I'd become complacent about a persistent intestinal discomfort. I just pushed it aside and kept going.

Sound familiar? 

But I realized that if I were my own client--I would be saying, "Let's not fall into complacency and accept health imbalances as the norm."

So, I  re-engaged playful curiosity and a passion to solve this issue with herbs.  I discovered and created a delightful herbal blend that after just a few dosages, was a game changer for my gut--and now I'm integrating this into clients' formulations.

But imagine if I had remained complacent and just accepted the belly discomfort as "It is what is..." and continued to ignore it.

It would not have only kept me in a state of suffering--but would not have inspired my growth as an herbal alchemist to help my clients more deeply.

So being complacent with our own health has ripples beyond our own journeys.

On our mothership studio property, we recently had a truckload of items removed—things that had been creating energetic heaviness since my father's passing in 2020.

3. Practice Radical Rest

Our addiction to staying busy often masks avoidance of deeper feelings.

This coping mechanism drives us further from balance and blocks the prosperity that wants to flow into our lives.
